The Hadza
Once Aristoteles said Man is by nature a social animal. Maybe people are tamed by different circumstances. We always face to different circumstances. Circumstances change people. This article gives one question; What do they know that we've forgotten? The Hadza has a bit special compared to many countries over the world. Our world causes competitions for gifted person. The world that only treat a gifted person has stolen by. On the other hand, The Hadza has freedom. Maybe freedom is the one thing that everyone lost as time passed. Fierce might be the best word to describe our world status. Freedom might be the one thing that modern nations can not ever get anymore.
The other thing that our world had forgotten is equality. In the society of Hadza, they can freely have whatever they want even if they didn't contribute for something. Although it is obviously true that they all have no wealth. They have autonomy; no Hadza adult has authority over any other. It also reads, Camps are traditionally named after a senior male, BUT THIS DOES NOT CONFER ANY PARTICULAR POWER. I could infer that they treated their share as one of duties in their society which they don't treat as a reciprocal duty for oneself. Instead, they feel self-contentment by sharing. If A person gives something to the B person, A person obviously treat that B person is going to give something back. A person may think that is natural to give something back from B person. I think you may well think so. The world had changed in that way. Self-centeredness might get too close to our world. By the Hadza, I could also feel how they feel freedom. I carefully think that the Natives of Africa are the one who enjoy freedom, share, and distribution.
The writer wrote that his perception of the world had altered by the days that he spent with the Hadza. I guess that he felt bliss from composure during that time. People are running for something every moments. For sometimes, we need a rest to wait for others, to look back.
To meet the other cultures can be wonderful for foreigners. We actually have duties to keep our culture. Maybe the tribe Hadza is trying to keep their own culture for next generations. We need a different perspective for the Natives of Africa. They feel my own culture is miraculous as if I feel the other cultures. The writer also described that outside Hadza think that Hadza should be transformed. I do not agree that at all. Like America has its own culture, The Hadza has their own voice. And their society conserves a characteristic, getting away from desertification.
