Industrial Revolution (1760-1840) - Europe Presentation
(Invention of steam engine, spinning jenny was one of the innovations that started the revolution)
The industrial revolution, so we called, industrialization, started at England first. By technology revolution, The social and even economy system came the change. Industrial revolution is the period of technology innovation which is gradual and successive.
In human history, The 3 revolution came to human. First was agriculture revolution. As next, The industrial revolution came. As the third, the information revolution came.
Why England?
There are 5 reasons to support England. First, England was the country which the modern industry developed for a long time ago. So, the modern industry developed. Second, England built up their stock by international trade from vast colony. Third, As the population increased, They had abundant labor.Next, England was rich in underground resources such as the coal, iron. And, Their condition was sort of fine. Since the Glorious revolution, their freedom of the economy activity was sured.
The invention of the machinery.
1) The system of industry changed from the handcraft to factory's.
2) The mass manufacture could be possible by machines.
3) Capitalism established.
4) Agriculture society changed as industry society.
Which things could be bad effect ?
The population increased highly, unemployment problem reocurred, The pollution of environment got really serious. The worker made lots of trouble by destroying the machine for their work. The gulf between rich and poor got highly serious. To rich people accumulated much wealth. however, The England didn't have the social way to protect people from poverty. So, slum got extremely larger and larger. That caused the plagues such as the Pest disease. The worker worked more than 16 hours by forcing. Even the children worked by forced work.
That caused the fact that average age is below than 20.Capitalism establishment made the two society powers.
What can we notice as good effect from the industrial revolution?
The industiral revolution made abundant life for building the west civilization. As the industry develops, at the same time, the medical technology got progressive. Industrialization caused the other country to develop. The England called the factory of the world. The industrial revolution, so we called, made the point for changing from the agriculture society to industry society. (Handcraft-machine industry). That caused the product manufacture fastly. And the invention of the transportation made the better life.
